Shipping policy

Shipping & Delivery

Each piece is one of a kind and is shipped insured. Because size, weight and destination vary widely, we quote delivery individually rather than at a flat checkout rate.

After you place your order, we’ll contact you with a shipping quote (white-glove delivery is available for larger pieces). Your order ships once you’ve approved the quote.

Shipping and delivery charges are generally separate from the purchase price unless specifically stated otherwise.

Furniture and larger decorative objects may require blanket-wrap delivery, white-glove delivery, crating, specialized art handling, or freight transportation. Shipping quotes are based on the information available when the quote is prepared and may change if the delivery address, access conditions, requested service, or other circumstances change.

Delivery dates and transit times are estimates unless we specifically agree otherwise in writing.

The buyer is responsible for providing accurate delivery information and informing us or the carrier in advance of stairs, elevators, narrow halls or doorways, restricted building hours, certificates of insurance, loading restrictions, limited access, or other conditions that may affect delivery.

The buyer is responsible for confirming that an item will fit through entrances, elevators, stairways, hallways, and into its intended location.

Additional charges resulting from inaccurate information, failed delivery attempts, unusual access conditions, storage, redelivery, or services requested at delivery are the buyer’s responsibility.

Local Pickup & Client-Arranged Shipping

Clients may arrange pickup or use their own shipper when approved in advance.

Once an item has been inspected and accepted by the buyer, the buyer’s representative, or the buyer’s carrier, responsibility for the item transfers to the buyer.

If the buyer selects and contracts directly with a third-party shipper, claims for loss or damage occurring after pickup generally must be made directly with that carrier.

We strongly recommend using experienced, insured furniture or fine-art carriers for vintage furniture, fragile decorative objects, and other valuable pieces.

Inspection Upon Delivery

Please inspect your purchase carefully at the time of delivery whenever possible.

If there is visible damage to the packaging, crate, or item, note the damage on the carrier’s delivery receipt before signing and take photographs before the item is unpacked or moved further.

Do not discard crates, cartons, wrapping, blankets, packing materials, or shipping documents until the item has been inspected and any potential claim has been resolved.

Damage Claims

If an item arrives damaged, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery.

Please provide your order number, photographs of the entire item and damaged area, photographs of the packaging or crate, and a copy or photograph of the carrier’s delivery receipt when available.

Please retain all original packaging until the claim has been resolved.

Damage claims are reviewed individually. Depending on the circumstances, an appropriate resolution may include professional repair or restoration, replacement when possible, a partial refund, or a full refund.

Because many vintage, custom, and artist-created pieces are unique, replacement with an identical item may not be possible.

Damage that occurs after delivery, pickup, installation, handling by the buyer or the buyer’s representative, or transportation by a carrier hired directly by the buyer is not considered transit damage for purposes of a claim against us.

An approved damage claim is an exception to our All Sales Final policy and does not create a general right of return.

Storage

Purchased items should be picked up or scheduled for delivery within the period stated on the invoice or order confirmation.

If a completed or purchased item cannot be delivered or collected because of circumstances attributable to the buyer, storage charges may apply after reasonable notice.
